Ayat of the Day

Assalaam Alaikum!

On the RoadtoJannah message board I typically post a Hadith of the Day and the Ayat of the Day. I see that there is already a Hadith of the Day thread here so inshAllah I intend to contribute to that. However, when doing a few searches on this board I could not find an Ayat of the Day thread, so I decided to make one. If there is one already please merge this and point me in the right direction inshAllah. Also if everyone could contribute that would be wonderful. Discussion, Ayats, anything inshAllah.

8. Al-Anfal (Spoils Of War, Booty)

Surah: 8 Aya: 16

Transliteration
16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru

Translation

16. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!

073.015 Lo! We have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as We sent unto Pharaoh a messenger.

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولا ً شَاهِداً عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولا

74) Sūrat Al-Muddaththir

074.056 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy.

وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ

3) Sūrat 'Āli `Imrān

003.031 Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم

095.008 Is not Allah the most conclusive of all judges ?

26) Sūrat Ash-Shu`arā'

026.049 (Pharaoh) said: Ye put your faith in him before I give you leave. Lo! he doubtless is your chief who taught you magic! But verily ye shall come to know. Verily I will cut off your hands and your feet alternately, and verily I will crucify you every one.

قَالَ آمَنْتُمْ لَه ُُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّه ُُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلاَف ٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

3) Sūrat 'Āli `Imrān

003.085 And whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.

وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الإِسْلاَمِ دِينا ً فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

5) Sūrat Al-Mā'idah

005.019 O People of the Scripture! Now hath Our messenger come unto you to make things plain unto you after an interval (of cessation) of the messengers, lest ye should say: There came not unto us a messenger of cheer nor any warner. Now hath a messenger of cheer and a warner come unto you. Allah is Able to do all things.

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَى فَتْرَة ٍ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ أَنْ تَقُولُوا مَا جَاءَنَا مِنْ بَشِير ٍ وَلاَ نَذِير ٍ ۖ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بَشِير ٌ وَنَذِير ٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير

and the wealth ye have acquired, and merchandise for which ye fear that there will no sale, and dwellings ye desire
are dearer to you than Allah and His messenger and striving in His way:
then wait till Allah bringeth His command to pass. Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
Quran 9:24

They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah , but most of the people do not know."

3) Sūrat 'Āli `Imrān

003.097 Wherein are plain memorials (of Allah's guidance); the place where Abraham stood up to pray; and whosoever entereth it is safe. And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind, for him who can find a way thither. As for him who disbelieveth, (let him know that) lo! Allah is Independent of (all) creatures.

فِيهِ آيَات ٌ بَيِّنَات ٌ مَقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۖ وَمَنْ دَخَلَه ُُ كَانَ آمِنا ً ۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلا ً ۚ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ

Sūrat 'Ibrāhīm

014.021 They all come forth unto their Lord. Then those who were despised say unto those who were scornful: We were unto you a following, can ye then avert from us aught of Allah's doom ? They say: Had Allah guided us, we should have guided you. Whether we rage or patiently endure is (now) all one for us; we have no place of refuge.

وَبَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ جَمِيعا ً فَقَالَ الضُّعَفَاءُ لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمْ تَبَعا ً فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُغْنُونَ عَنَّا مِنْ عَذَابِ اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ ۚ قَالُوا لَوْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهَدَيْنَاكُمْ ۖ سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَجَزِعْنَا أَمْ صَبَرْنَا مَا لَنَا مِنْ مَحِيص

025.052 So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour.

فَلاَ تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُمْ بِه ِِ جِهَادا ً كَبِيرا ً

49) Sūrat Al-Ĥujurāt

049.007 And know that the messenger of Allah is among you. If he were to obey you in much of the government, ye would surely be in trouble; but Allah hath endeared the faith to you and hath beautified it in your hearts, and hath made disbelief and lewdness and rebellion hateful unto you. Such are they who are the rightly guided.

وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ۚ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِي كَثِير ٍ مِنَ الأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الإِيمَانَ وَزَيَّنَه ُُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَرَّهَ~َ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكُفْرَ وَالْفُسُوقَ وَالْعِصْيَانَ ۚ أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُونَ

027.015 And We verily gave knowledge unto David and Solomon, and they said: Praise be to Allah, Who hath preferred us above many of His believing slaves!

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ عِلْما ً ۖ وَقَالاَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي فَضَّلَنَا عَلَى كَثِير ٍ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
