On the RoadtoJannah message board I typically post a Hadith of the Day and the Ayat of the Day. I see that there is already a Hadith of the Day thread here so inshAllah I intend to contribute to that. However, when doing a few searches on this board I could not find an Ayat of the Day thread, so I decided to make one. If there is one already please merge this and point me in the right direction inshAllah. Also if everyone could contribute that would be wonderful. Discussion, Ayats, anything inshAllah.

8. Al-Anfal (Spoils Of War, Booty)
Surah: 8 Aya: 16
Transliteration
16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru
Translation
16. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!
وَإِنّي خِفتُ المَوالِيَ مِن وَرائي وَكانَتِ امرَأَتي عاقِرًا فَهَب لي مِن لَدُنكَ وَلِيًّا ,يَرِثُني وَيَرِثُ مِن آلِ يَعقوبَ ۖ وَاجعَلهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا.
Indeed I fear my kinsmen, after me, and my wife is barren. So grant me from Yourself an heir,,who may inherit from me and inherit from the House of Jacob, and make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]!’
يا زَكَرِيّا إِنّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلامٍ اسمُهُ يَحيىٰ لَم نَجعَل لَهُ مِن قَبلُ سَمِيًّا.
O Zechariah! Indeed We give you the good news of a son, whose name is “John.” Never before have We made anyone his namesake.’
يٰبُنَيَّ اِنَّهَاۤ اِنْ تَكُ مِثْقَا لَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ فَتَكُنْ فِيْ صَخْرَةٍ اَوْ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ اَوْ فِى الْاَ رْضِ يَأْتِ بِهَا اللّٰهُ ۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَطِيْفٌ خَبِيْرٌ
"[And Luqman said], O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted."
(QS. Luqman 31: Verse 16)
ذٰلِكَ بِاَ نَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَاَ نَّ مَا يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِ الْبَا طِلُ ۙ وَاَ نَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيْرُ
"That is because Allah is the Truth, and that what they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Grand."
(QS. Luqman 31: Verse 30)
اَللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَا لْاَ رْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِيْ سِتَّةِ اَيَّا مٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۗ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِهٖ مِنْ وَّلِيٍّ وَّلَا شَفِيْعٍ ۗ اَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ
"It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?"
(QS. As-Sajda 32: Verse 4)
يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ جَآءَتْكُمْ جُنُوْدٌ فَاَ رْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيْحًا وَّجُنُوْدًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا ۗ وَكَا نَ اللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرًا ۚ
"O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when armies came to [attack] you and We sent upon them a wind and armies [of angels] you did not see. And ever is Allah, of what you do, Seeing."
(QS. Al-Ahzaab 33: Verse 9)
وَلَا تُطِعِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ وَا لْمُنٰفِقِيْنَ وَدَعْ اَذٰٮهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۗ وَكَفٰى بِا للّٰهِ وَكِيْلًا
"And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites but do not harm them, and rely upon Allah. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs."
(QS. Al-Ahzaab 33: Verse 48)

(He has made it) Straight to give warning (to the disbelievers) of a severe punishment from Him, and to give glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), who work righteous deeds, that they shall have a fair reward (i.e. Paradise).
And to warn those (Jews, Christians, and pagans) who say, "Allah has begotte a son (or offspring or children)."
No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths [i.e. He begot (took) sons and daughters]. They utter nothing but a lie.
اقتَرَبَ لِلنّاسِ حِسابُهُم وَهُم في غَفلَةٍ مُعرِضونَ ما يَأتيهِم مِن ذِكرٍ مِن رَبِّهِم مُحدَثٍ إِلَّا استَمَعوهُ وَهُم يَلعَبونَ
Mankind’s reckoning has drawn near to them, yet they are disregardful in [their] obliviousness.
فَإِن تَوَلَّوا فَقُل آذَنتُكُم عَلىٰ سَواءٍ ۖ وَإِن أَدري أَقَريبٌ أَم بَعيدٌ ما توعَدونَ
But if they turn away, say, ‘I have proclaimed to you all alike, and I do not know whether what you have been promised is far or near.
يَومَ نَطوِي السَّماءَ كَطَيِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلكُتُبِ ۚ كَما بَدَأنا أَوَّلَ خَلقٍ نُعيدُهُ ۚ وَعدًا عَلَينا ۚ إِنّا كُنّا فاعِلينَ
The day We shall roll up the sky, like the rolling of the scrolls for writings. We will bring it back as We began the first creation —a promise [binding] on Us. [That] indeed We will do.
وَلَو فَتَحنا عَلَيهِم بابًا مِنَ السَّماءِ فَظَلّوا فيهِ يَعرُجونَ
Were We to open for them a gate of the sky, so that they could go on ascending through it,
فَلَمَّا قَضَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَوْتَ مَا دَلَّهُمْ عَلٰى مَوْتِهٖۤ اِلَّا دَاۤ بَّةُ الْاَ رْضِ تَأْ كُلُ مِنْسَاَ تَهُ ۚ فَلَمَّا خَرَّ تَبَيَّنَتِ الْجِنُّ اَنْ لَّوْ كَا نُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ الْغَيْبَ مَا لَبِثُوْا فِى الْعَذَا بِ الْمُهِيْنِ ۗ
"And when We decreed for Solomon death, nothing indicated to the jinn his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But when he fell, it became clear to the jinn that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in humiliating punishment."
(QS. Saba 34: Verse 14)
