Sometimes, I forget the sins of my past, but when I repent, I give the broad overview. For example, when repenting, if I don't remember the exact details, then I just ask Allah to forgive me for "name of sin". Is this acceptable? Sometimes, I just ask Allah to forgive me for all my sins, including the ones I remember and forget. Will Allah still accept this?
Maybe some brother or sister can give you more precise answers... But as far as my understanding is, you asking for forgiveness for all your sins is completely normal and fine. Anyway, I would like to share some videos with you regarding Allah and forgiveness.
