CCTV captures terrifying moment armed gang threaten to kill workers during £20k raid
A worker grimaces in terror as a raider holds a gun to his head and another threatens him with a sledgehammer.
Security cameras captured the scene during an attack on a food warehouse. Two masked men are seen to rush in with a gun, axe and sledgehammer. They threaten to chop up workers who won’t co-operate.
One shoots Galip Sancak in the arm. Then he grabs Hayrullah Segmen’s throat and presses the gun to his head screaming: “Give us the safe keys.”
When Mr Segmen refuses, the gunman chops his arm with an axe.
Mr Sancak, 35, then agrees to open the safe. The raiders stuff cash into a bag and flee with £20,000 from Cyprofood in Tottenham, North London.
Speaking after his release from hospital Mr Segmen, 29, said: “It was terrifying. They said they would chop us up. I shouted for Galip to open the safe. Then I was hit with an axe.
“Other workers had been ordered to kneel down on the floor or rounded up outside with their hands on their heads.”
