I would really appreciate if anyone knows EXACT date of first day of Muharram please? I googled and I found janurary 31st to be the first day of Muharram-first day of New Islamic Year. Does anyone know for sure?

Respectfully,Can we decide clander without sight of the moon??? As for my information Egyption Calander is more accurate than any other still all dates are suposed to be calculated with the sight of the moon.
The fact that moon has to be seen with different timings in different parts of the world so we can not make it same all over the world. for example. in saudia it could be 31st but in UK or India it can not be 31st coz all of three countries are in different zones.
