What is the contest about?
Brother Khaldun has provided five quraan related questions which will be spread out over a number of days.

Who is allowed to participate?
All regular members are eligble to participate. This excludes the Administrators, Super moderators and moderators.
I first would like to say jazaka'Allaahu khairun for participating in this contest. Insha'Allaah, I hope this has caused an awareness among LI members to study the Glorious Qur'aan and benefit from it.
Unfortunaley, there were some issues with the dates and times and I would like to apologise for this. Insha'Allaah, I hope the next contest will be more organized.
Alhumdillaah, there were no ties in the first and second place.
Firstly the answers to the questions:
Part 1:
Name one soorah (chapter) that ends with the letter "Laam" in every verse.
Answer: Soorah al-Feel
Part 2:
Name one verse in the Glorious Qur'aan that contains the word "Bal" three times.
Answer: Soorah Naml, verse 66, and Soorah Anbiya verse 5
Part 3:
Why does it say "Salamun 'ala Ilyasin" in verse 130 in soorah Saffat and not Ilyas?
Answer: Dialect of the tribe of Bani Asad
Part 4:
Why is the word "akhuhum" left out in soorah Shu'ara verse 177?
Answer: It was left out because of the meaning inherited in the name given to them.
Final part:
(1) In soorah Kahf verse 25, Allaah says "And they remained in their cave three hundred years and (some) add (another) nine." Why not just say 309 years?
(A): Solar and Lunar calendar
(2) What is the ayah where Allaah says he will do something and also commands the believers to do the same thing
(A): 33:56
(3) There is one soorah that was never given to any prophet before our Prophet nor was it revealed in the past scriptures (i.e. Injeel, Tauwrat, etc). Which soorah was that?
(A): Soorah Al-Fatiha
(4) Which soorah has in every ayah the word "Allaah"
(A): Soorah al-Mujaadalah
oooooooooo i just had a look at the dar us salam site ....theres definately some benificial products there ....... for 100 pounds one can get the digital Quran which has Imam Suyutis tafseer on it including Imam Nawawis riyadus saleheen .ooooooooooo
or one can get Ibn Hajars fatah al bari the commentary on Sahih Bukhari if one chucks an extra 15 pounds in the bucket .oooooooooo
