This guy, Michel Faraj Ayyoub, is a Christian who lives in a village east of Akka. During Ramadan, he always go on a "msahharati" mission (to wake up people for suhoor), since his work as a construction worker requires that he wakes up early anyway. He goes around the village "chanting" the following (loosely translated): "In the name of Allah we started, and on His messengers we sent His blessings"... "wake up oh you sleepy ones, wake up and glorify Arrahman"... and then he says "Ya Rahman, my Lord, Oh you who have sent down the Quran during the month of Ramadan..."
Michel likes the fact that he shares with "his Muslim brothers and neighbors and friends as much as possible" festivals, occasions...etc. Michel also got his father's support, as well as the imam of hte village, and got cirtificate of appreciation from the Islamic party in the area
أمر طبيعي أن يتواجد مسحراتي في كل قرية ومدينة عربية، ولكن في قرية المكر، شرق عكا، الأمر مختلف، فمسحراتي القرية هو الشاب ميشيل فرج أيوب مسيحي يعيش في القرية.
ويقوم ميشيل بإيقاظ الصائمين في رمضان حسب قدرته، فهو شاب يعمل في البناء يستيقظ باكراً، لكن مع كل هذا أحب أن يشارك إخوانه المسلمين في شهر رمضان، كعادته في شهر رمضان المبارك يخرج ميشيل من بيته ويخرج إلى الشارع في تمام الساعة الثالثة صباحاً ويجوب بعض الأحياء في القرية مرتدياً الزي العربي مع طبل تركي.
وخلال تجواله في القرية يردد ميشيل بعض الكلمات مع نغمة جميلة منها:
"بسم الله ابتدينا وعلى الأنبياء صلينا" و"اصحى يا نايم.. اصحى يا غفلان قوم واصحى وصبح الرحمن طبلة على طبلة وقولوا بالأمثال وأنا صنعتي في البلد جوال" و"شمعة على طولو تشارك في نورو" و"يا ربي يا رحمن يا منزل القرآن في شهر رمضان"، و"لولاك يا نبي ما نبنى جامع ولا صلوا يا ربي يا رحمن يا ربي يا رحمن اصحوا يا مؤمنين اصحوا يا مسلمين".
وأكد ميشيل أن هذا أمر عادي جداً بالنسبة له، فإنه يشارك أخيه وجاره وصديقه المسلم قدر المستطاع، الأفراح مشتركة والأحزان مشتركة والأعياد مشتركة وهو دائماً يحمد الله على النعمة الموجودة في الجديدة ـ المكر، فلا توجد عنصرية أبداً بين مسلم ومسيحي، فالجميع أخوة في كل شيء.
هذا وقد لاقى ميشيل كل الدعم من الأب في القرية وكذلك من إمام الجامع وحصل على عدة شهادات تقدير من الحركة الإسلامية.
