Sunnahs of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

    Salam.
I hope everyone had/has a very wonderful and pious Eid.
    Eid Mubarak to everyone...
I need some help regarding to the Sunnahs of the Prophet (PBUH) this one has to do with sleeping.
    I read that one should..
"To apply surmah in both the eyes."

    - I was just wondering what does "surmah" mean? or what is "surmah"?
If someone can inform me it would be greatly appreciated.
    Jzk.

Re: Sunnahs of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

i had a lovely Ei..i hope all the LI members and the whole Ummah did as well

well this is all i know about the Sunnah of going to sleep

To sleep in the state of Wuzu.

    To make the bed yourself.
Dust the bed thrice before retiring to bed.
One should change into some other clothes
    (e.g.pyjamas) before going to sleep.
It is Sunnah to sleep immediately after Isha Salaah.
To apply surmah in both the eyes.
To brush the teeth with a miswaak.
To sleep on the right hand side.
To sleep with the right palm under the right cheek.
To keep the knees slightly bent when sleeping.
To refrain from sleeping on ones stomach.
To sleep on a bed or to sleep on the floor are both sunnah.
    To face Qiblah.
To recite Surah Mulk, before sleeping.
    To recite Ayatul Kursi.
To recite Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Falaq and Surah Naas before sleeping 3 times and thereafter blow over the entire body thrice.
    Recite Tasbeeh-e-Fathima before sleeping.( i.e. 33 X
    Subhan Allah 33 X Alhamdulillah and 34 X AllahuAkbar).
To recite the dua before sleeping.
To wake up for Tahajjud Salaah.

ill go ask about "Surmah" InshALLAH...but i bet someone else will beat me to it

Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, Be! and it is.

'Eid Mubarak to you too .

Treat your eyes with kohl, for it nourishes eyes and eyelashes. [Narrated Abu Dawud & Tirmidhi]

Surmah or Kohl would be something like this, it should be avaialble in Islamic Shops, Insha'Allah.
