    *bump*

You can make du'a while sujood in a fajr shalat.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is prostrating, so say a great deal of du’aa’ then.” Narrated by Muslim, 482.

However, I think it must be in arabic, or if it's in other language it should only be said in silence (at heart).

    Assalaam o alaykum,

yup akhi u can do that, as stated in the hadith above.

tho du'as should preferably be done in the following order:

    1) to try and find a dua in the sunnah

    2) if u cant do tha aboev, then say the dua in arabic,

    3) if u cant do that then in any language

example, if u want ur son to pass his medical exam, then u first look if there is any type of dua that the prophet (saw) done which u can use (on this subject).... if there isnt (which there isnt), then u simply just say the dua in arabic... if u dsont know arabic, then u say it in english (or whatever language).....

"However, I think it must be in arabic, or if it's in other language it should only be said in silence (at heart). "

should be said in silence? Dont know about that...

In Indonesia, the country where brother Naidamar comes from, saying non-Arabic words during salat is strictly prohibited. Even, according to some Indonesian scholars, duas that we can say in sujudh are only certain 'legitimate' duas.

    Wa alaikum salam.

Frankly, currently I don't know yet why in my country Muslim are not allowed say non-arabic words during salat. But when a kid or new Muslim learn salat, the teacher always say about this prohibition. Even, a year ago, someone taught people salat in dual langauge, Arabic and Indonesian. He got jailed and his group is categorized as deviant group.
