    Question Question: Halaal and Haraam

    Report bad ads?

I have seen some examples to what is considered Halaal and Haraam. I have tried doing some searches online but can't seem to come across a complete list of what is 'allowed' and what is 'forbidden' in Islam. Does anyone know of an online link or book that I may look upon to gain further knowledge?

    Re: Question: Halaal and Haraam

A complete list of everything? I'm not aware of one.

Why don't you list your specific questions of what you are curious of what is halal/haram?
    Question: Halaal and Haraam

Should I seek a source of law other than God, when it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (Qur'an) fully explained? And those whom We have given them the Book know that it has been sent down from the Lord with truth, so be not of those in doubt.

    Re: Question: Halaal and Haraam

Well I was mostly looking for a starting point. For me, what I would do in life I don't consider haraam so I wouldn't know where to start and what to ask till I had something to go by.

    Re: Question: Halaal and Haraam

    Hi

Incase of the convert, if he/she is unaware of something being haraam, he is not sinful until they find out that it is haraam. But they should try their best to find out as much as they are able. And Allah knows best.

If you want a "gist" of what is forbidden go and google "70 major sins" and you get a list of the big no-no's. (note: there is a bunch of minor sins that are not on that)

But other than that, go through the Quran, or a translation, and you get a fair idea what your not meant to do/perform.
    Question: Halaal and Haraam

    O my Lord,

    if I worship you
from fear of hell, burn me in hell.

    If I worship you
from hope of Paradise, bar me from its gates.

    But if I worship you
for yourself alone, grant me then the beauty of your Face.
