    I know this may sound like a stupid question but...

    How do you say something to Allah (SWT) from the heart like you actually mean it.. I find it hard sometimes

    Cry doing dua, if you can't cry then mimic crying. If you really want something from Allah and really mean what you are saying, then you should naturally be saying it like you mean it surely? Why do you not mean what you are saying?
