In the past 1 year, I got involved in a great number of Kaba'ir sins. I think I committed almost all of them. I turned from being a strong believer to a hypocrite though I wasn't missing my Salaah but still I'd offer it with negligible khushu but still there were also days when I was missing 2-3 Salaah in a single day and I was also involved in a haraam relationship. I disgraced myself by doing all haraam in it and now I'm very broken and not able to find my faith which had given me immense happiness and strength once. I keep hearing the Ahadeeth and verses of the Qur'an which speak of achieving salvation by doing simple things like wudhu but I also know that these simple things just get you rid of the minor sins (sagha'ir). So can anyone help me as to what I should do to prevent myself from hell-fire? Please help
Many major sins individually have a Kaffara (atonement). If you do not wish to mention what you did specifically here, then you'll need to check with a scholar or an Islamic fatwa sites (islamweb.com or islamqa.com are options) for specific atonements for every major sin you commited. Some transgressions may have involved rights of others that you may have to make up for, some may require acts of fasting and charity as atonement, some will just require strong repentence.
However do not ever forget that God forgives all sins (except making partners to God or worshipping another of course), and even he who killed 100 people including a scholar, was forgiven for purely repenting. There can never be a bigger loss than losing hope in God's mercy or capacity to forgive. Your regret here is the first step, and the lack of happiness and strength regarding your faith that you say you feel is probably because of the burden of guilt. Slowly it will be washed away the more you preserve yourself in doing right things and good deeds and worship God the best way you can.
The Holy Quran: "Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah. for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." [39:53]
Prophet -pbuh- said "All of you sin, and the best sinners are the repenters" [Attirmithi, Saheeh by Al-Albani] and "Had you not sinned God would have removed you and brought people who would sin, then regret and ask for forgiveness, and then they are forgiven." [Sahih Muslim narrated by Abu Huraira]

Asalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb, Jazakallah khayran for sharing this with us as it shows you have concern over your imaan and are shameful of your sins as we all should be about ours.
Know that Allah's mercy, compassion and forgiveness are all encompassing and his mercy is one of his most important and significant qualities of the almighty in the Qur’an, as well as in the saying and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh).
In a Hadith Qudsi Allah states:
"O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it."
In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah gives hope to mankind more than any other narration. It displays the quality and attribute of Allahs mercy. Indeed, He is ar-Rahman, the Most Compassionate, and ar-Raheem, the Most Merciful. In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah tells man of the greatness of His forgiveness and mercy so that no one would despair due to the amount of sins he may have committed. This is supported by the following verse of the Holy Quran:
Say: O My servants who have transgressed against their own souls, despair not of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah az-Zumar 39:53) Approximately 113 chapters of the Holy Qur’an begin with: "In the name of Allah the Most-Compassionate; the Most-Merciful".
When supplicating, one should truly seek Allahs aid and His forgiveness and demonstrate his need for Allah and submit to Him with fear and hope in receiving the desired response. Allah advises in Surat al-Araaf 7:56:
And invoke Him in fear and aspiration (of hope). Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to those who do good.
Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people. (Surah Yusuf 12:87)
One must be hopeful of Allahs mercy and forgiveness and fearful of His punishment. It is this fear that should lead one to seek Allahs forgiveness with hope. Allah says:
Know that Allah is severe in punishment and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Surat al-Maaidah 5:98)
These are constant reminders to all who read the Qur’an of the great mercy, compassion and forgiveness of almighty Allah. So do not despair for whatever wrongs we have done if we repent sincerely with the intention to NEVER commit the sin again then surely Allah the most merciful will forgive us.
If you can give some sadaqa of whatever you can afford for the pelasure of Allah then do so and also increase the amount of good deeds that you do because we have no time to waste but to increase our good deed account before our time is up because if we went now what would we have to show?

Make proper changes to your routine and make sure that you fulfill ALL of the fard salah in particular from now on.
Self evaluate yourself everyday so that you can try and measure what your doing. This is one of the best ways to monitor ones progress and to make changes bettering oneself everyday. This will help you do this:
Also if you have wronged anyone and not fulfilled their rights in anyway then ask them for forgiveness. It is best that all of us once in a while ask ALL of our friends, family and people we know to forgive us as we never know what wrong we have done to someone or we may not have fulfilled their rights in one way or another. We may have slandered or backbited against them for we are such sinners that we do not even realise what comes out of our mouth. So ask all for forgiveness and you will feel a big load off your shoulders and will feel free. Then ask Allah the most merciful most kind for forgiveness and cry to him in prayer and feel shameful in front of him for committing so much evil and imagine him watching you at that very moment. Imagine him watching you whatever you do and this will cause you to avoid sin.
Here is one of the best dua's a person can ask for forgiveness.
Shaddad ibn Aws (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,
“The best of forgiveness (sayyid al-istighfar) is to say,
‘O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no god but. You created me and I am Your slave. I am on Your covenant and promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in you from the wrongs I have done. I admit to You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I admit to You my sins. So forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.’ ”
The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) then said,
“Whoever says it during the day, with conviction, and then dies that day before night falls will be of the people of Paradise. And whoever says it at night, with conviction, and then dies before day break will be of the people of Paradise.” [Bukhari (6306), Tirmidhi (3393), Nasa’i (5522), and Ahmad (16662)]
Imam Badr al-Din al-`Ayni (762 AH – 855 AH) explains in his commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari, Umdat al-Qari (22.278, Beirut, Dar Ihya al-Turath) that this is the best of supplications of forgiveness, for the sayyid (master) is the one who is sought in need and able to fulfil the needs. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used this particular expression (literally, ‘the master of supplications’) to indicate that this is the best of supplications for those in need, and which will fulfil the need—sincere seeking of forgiveness.
With this, the best of supplication is heart-felt beseeching from Allah.
And Allah alone gives success.
