What does the Quran says about microbes?

    Report bad ads?

    Salam,

Just out of curiosity, what does the Quran says about microbes..

    Bacteria? Viruses? Algae? Fungi?

Their nature? Existence? Purpose? Effect on human host as well as plants and human? Are they living or non-living?
If created for specific purposes, why are they being reassorted to infect and kill human host?

I just find microbiology fascinating and the fact that microorganisms makes the most masses on planet Earth!

As far as I remember, Quran does not talk about them. Their purpose is just like other animals. I remember that Allah (swt) says in Quran that He created things in pairs. THis certainly does not apply to viruses. We do not have male/female viruses. But again, viruses are not considered living things. In bacteria, we do get a concept of primitive maleness and femaleness. For example F plasmid makes sex-pilli and makes the bacteria "male." F- bacteria acts as a female and a receiver of genetic information via conjugation.

Help me to escape from this existence
I yearn for an answer... can you help me?
I'm drowning in a sea of abused visions and shattered dreams
    In somnolent illusion... I'm paralyzed

The Holy Qur'an says (at this moment in time, I'm sorry I cannot give you the reference to the Aayah), 'Oh Prophet (Alay Hissalaam) say: Call upon those Gods whom you claim to, besides Allah; as they don’t control even a tiny particle’s weight in either heaven or on earth. (Holy Qur'an)

Here, it needs to be noted that the the word (Dhurr-ah) means very tiny particle that includes both one-celled microbes and atom molecule.
