Does anyone know if it allowed to close your eyes when in prayer. I feel it helps me concentrate but I just wanted to know whether it is allowed or not. and another quetion s does anyone know what time Dhuha prayer starts and finishes in winter and what time in starts and finishes in summer?
According to Scholars, close our eyes when in prayer is 'makrooh', this is means not forbidden but Muslims must avoid it. You are allowed to close your eyes if this is the only way to increase your concentration. In example, when you pray in noisy environment, etc. But if you can concentrate without close your eyes, you must open your eyes.
Dhuha time starts when the sun is rising. And finishes when Duh'r time has comes, when the sun is on the highest point. But if you want to know Dhuha time in your place according to 'clock time', you must ask salat schedule from your local masjid, because salat time in other places are different.
