Unfortunately, muslims in Indonesia will be split over when day of arafah and iedul adha will be.
The government has determined that iedul adha will fall on wednesday, 17 november, while Muhammadiyah (Indonesia's second largest muslim organization) announced that iedul adha will fall on tuesday, 16 november.
The government will take full responsibility if it turns out that Ied will indeed fall on tuesday, while many muslims will still do the 9 dzulhijah fasting, which would be haraam.
Common sense and science dictate that Muhammadiyah is right. If Ied in Saudi fall on tuesday, then in Indonesia it should also at the latest fall on tuesday, since we are a lot more east than saudi.
9th Dhill Hajj is the Arafat day. Keep an eye on newheadlines . Normally they announce it in advance and show live telecast . Those who did not go for Hajj , I heard that it's better for them to fast on the day.
And Allah Knows Best.
Christ will never be proud to reject to be a slave to God .....holy Quran, chapter Women , 4: 172
