Assalamu alaykum, i need knowledge on the islamic perspective on depression. What did the Prophet (pbuh) say about this and what are the cures if there is any? i need any brothers/sisters who have knowledge in this to reply as soon as possible, wasalam
I'm pretty sure Islam doesn't discourage you from seeking professional help, so if you (or someone you know) really is suffering from severe depression, then perhaps you should consider a trip to the doctors office.
I'm suffering from it myself. I find if I get exercise, I feel better the next day. I know that's not exactly what you wanted to hear, but I thought I'd tell you to help you out.
