Alcohol causes dizziness it is called a hangover. I would say to those who think it is ok to drink Alcohol in moderation 1-2 glasses a day that 1-2 glasses can lead to 10-15 glasses of Alcohol there is always that chance that you might want want more Alcohol after only 1-2 glasses. What does everyone else think this is just my opinion as to why it is wrong to drink Alcohol besides God says not to drink Alcohol even Atheists in my opinion should not drink Alcohol ? I have Family Members who are Christians who don't drink Alcohol not even one drop of Alcohol they say if you drink one glass of Alcohol you will/might/may want another one and another one and so on before you know it you are Drunk/Alcohol Intoxication in other words drinking a little bit of Alcohol can lead to drinking a whole lot of Alcohol.

    Alcohol Hangover

    Hangover Symptoms

    By Regina Bailey, About.com Guide

Alcohol can have various biological and behavioral effects on the body. People who consume alcohol to intoxication often experience what is known as a hangover. Hangovers result in unpleasant physical and mental symptoms including fatigue, headache, dizziness, and vertigo. While there are some suggested treatments to curb the effects of hangover, the best way to prevent a hangover from occurring is not to consume alcohol. Since the effects of most hangovers subside after 8 to 24 hours, time is the most effective remedy for alcohol hangover symptoms.
    Alcohol Hangover

Hangovers are a frequent, though unpleasant, experience among people who drink to intoxication. Despite the prevalence of hangovers, however, this condition is not well understood scientifically. Multiple possible contributors to the hangover state have been investigated, and researchers have produced evidence that alcohol can directly promote hangover symptoms through its effects on urine production, the gastrointestinal tract, blood sugar concentrations, sleep patterns, and biological rhythms. In addition, researchers postulate that effects related to alcohol's absence after a drinking bout (i.e., withdrawal), alcohol metabolism, and other factors (e.g., biologically active, nonalcohol compounds in beverages; the use of other drugs; certain personality traits; and a family history of alcoholism) also may contribute to the hangover condition. Few of the treatments commonly described for hangover have undergone scientific evaluation.

    What is a Hangover?

A hangover is characterized by the constellation of unpleasant physical and mental symptoms that occur after a bout of heavy alcohol drinking. Physical symptoms of a hangover include fatigue, headache, increased sensitivity to light and sound, redness of the eyes, muscle aches, and thirst. Signs of increased sympathetic nervous system activity can accompany a hangover, including increased systolic blood pressure, rapid heartbeat (i.e., tachycardia), tremor, and sweating. Mental symptoms include dizziness; a sense of the room spinning (i.e., vertigo); and possible cognitive and mood disturbances, especially depression, anxiety, and irritability.

    Alcohol and Muslims

    What Alcohol Does
You may have heard that drinking wine in moderation (1 to 2 glasses a day), is beneficial in helping to reduce heart failure. Even if this is true, the harm from alcohol outweighs the good, so it should be avoided (verse 2:219 of Qur'an). If you want to help your heart, there are better ways to do it, like exercising and eating less saturated fat and cholesterol.

The Gradual Prohibition of Alcohol in Islam
    By
    Bassam Zawadi
Moderate drinkers most likely become heavy drinkers anyway so why the risk? Islam does not like to take risks. It ensures the safety of society. There is no necessity at all for drinking alcohol in any way and should be totally prohibited even if it takes force to do so (just like the fight on drugs).

It is a matter of self-control. There may be some people who lack that control; people who are unable to stop after one drink. However, for every one of those, there are hundreds who, for example, go to dinner, have a drink with dinner and go about their lives without drinking again until the occasion arises.

"They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: "In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit..." (Qur'an 2:219, part)

Islam is a way of life of prevention. Prevention is better than cure. It doesn't matter how many people can drink it without problems, or how much they can drink, or how much self control they think they have, or how much they think they may know their limits. That is of no consequence to us. Allah has deemed prevention better for us and thus made it haraam. Not only drinking it is not allowed, but also selling it, carrying it, transporting it, offering it to others, consuming income from it's sale, pressing the grapes for it, buying it etc. (Mentioned in al-Tirmidhi, 1259; Ibn Maajah, 3381).

The bottom line answer to your question, is that it is wrong to drink alcohol, even in moderation, because Allah has forbidden it.

    Peace.

This is a clear message for mankind in order that they may be warned thereby, and that they may know that He is only One God, and that those of understanding may take heed (14:52)

Look at UK at alcohol problems, people fighting or dying with drinking too much alcohol one can lead to another just like smoking you should not have a single drop of it! Loads of people die of alcohol second is alcohol is a total waste of money, the government have to spend a lot of money putting things right cause of Alcohol so that's why I personally like Muslim countries we don't need to worry about stuff like this
