Sura 42 – Ash-Shura
4. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: and He is Most High, Most Great.
If everything belongs to Allah, then what belongs to us? Nothing at all. We may claim that we have our belongings and possessions and that we earned those things through our hard work and sweat. True. Those things are ours. But let us consider them to be gifts from Allah, granted to us for a short duration of time. Eventually, no matter how many things we acquire in our possession, we shall have to let go of everything….. when we die. We were born into this world with nothing. And we shall leave this world with nothing.
5. The heavens are almost rent asunder from above them (by Him Glory): and the angels celebrate the Praises of their Lord, and pray for forgiveness for (all) beings on earth: Behold! Verily Allah is He, the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
It’s evident that there is none more glorious and greater than Allah. Those who do not understand the glory and greatness of Allah continue to commit sins. But Allah is Ar-Rahman. He is As-Sami, the One who hears the prayers of the angels who ask Him to forgive His creatures on Earth. Meaning, He hears the prayers and then forgives. And this is due to His all-encompassing mercy.
It is pointless to watch other people's houses crumbling when our own house is in need of repair and attention.
2. What Allah out of his Mercy doth bestow on mankind there is none can withhold: what He doth withhold, there is none can grant, apart from Him: and He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.
If Allah gives you something there is no being or god out there who can stop you from getting those blessings.
If Allah withholds from mankind His blessings, there is no being or other god out there who can grant those blessings.
He knows best the proportion of blessings He must distribute to His creatures. Only He has the power to determine that and only He has the wisdom to know the correct proportion.
