I am going to watch the video when I get a chance just watched a little bit ...but could you state your view point on the video what are you trying to say? do you not agree with what she is saying?
Please don't. saves you some anger. Unless you want to practice your sabr (patience).
I can go with that. Our patience, in general, is already sorely tested without having to go out of our way to give it any further trials. Nevertheless, my curiosity got the better of me and I did read all nine pages of the comments. Nothing new there actually, for me. The comments and counter comments were, for the most part off-track. Off-track as in not really being focused on the topic at hand.
comments have never made a difference in anyone's life.. people delude themselves into thinking their opinions matter and that others desire to hear them. I haven't watched the video but I certainly don't want anyone representing me as a Muslim woman, I can state my own grievances if I need, don't want half clad women with leaked sex tapes to tell me what it means to be subjugated, objectified or oppressed per their own definition..

Are you referring to the women in the video with having sextapes and what not? Is that really true? Where did you hear that ?

I can't comment on the video since as stated above I haven't watched it and have no desire to-- that being said if people want to learn about Muslim women I think they should interview them first hand.
Text without context is pretext If your opponent is of choleric temperament, seek to irritate him

The lady in the video is just talking about the topic: Women in Islam: Liberated or Oppressed? and she is a muslim.
i think it's oppressive when a woman is in dire need of cash and some perv company offers her 50 bucks to strip down for a centre page.
then on top of that, the government who's "Liberating women across the globe" demands a cut from the proceeds.

I think their concept of liberation means liberating women off their clothes.
There are hijabi sisters who run free school for poor girls who live on the streets. They work voluntary without ask payment. They do it just because they want those poor girls have brighter future. They never say anything about "women liberation"
In another side, there are women who urge government to give them more freedom in expression and cancel anti-pornography rule. They are yelling "women liberation !" loudly. But they never care to poor girls who live on the street.
That's the greatest irony in "women liberation" that I have seen in my place.
