Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK

So valuable is Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Power) that the Quran devotes a special surah to it “Lailatul Qadr is better than a thousand months” [97:3]

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” (Bukhari and Muslim).

Not only does the worship of this one night surpass the value of 30,000 nights which is over 83 YEARS OF WORSHIP but an entire lifetime of sins wiped out in this unique and blessed night!Subhanallah!

There is no way we can afford to miss out on such a blessed night!

According to authentic narrations it can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, most likely the odd numbered nights of the last 10 nights of Ramadan: Which are the 21st night, 23rd, 25th, 27th & 29th nights. Most scholars say that it is likely to be on the 27th night but there is no guarantee of this and so to catch this night we must worship all the odd numbered nights or as many as we can manage.

The dates for Laylatul Qadr in the UK are:

21st night - Wednesday 8th August from Maghrib until Fajr

23rd Night - Friday 10th August from Maghrib until Fajr.

25th Night - Sunday 12th August from Maghrib until Fajr.

27th Night - Tuesday 14th August from Maghrib until Fajr.

29th night - Thursday 16th August from Maghrib until Fajr.

Remember: We can gain 83 years of worship reward and forgiveness for an entire lifetime of sins for worshipping on this one special night. So we CANNOT afford to miss out. If we are working on the days after those nights and we can take those days or go work later on that day then we should try to, even if it means we to work go tired on those days, so be it as it is only once a year whre this opportunity comes and we may NEVER get such an opportunity again as we may not be alive next year!

    So make the commitment!

So we should all make a firm commitment to devote ourselves in worship on all of the last 10 nights, if not then on the odd numbered nights, if not then at least on as many nights as we can. If we still cannot do that then at least on the 27th night. We should worship Allah with full sincerity, hope for immense reward, forgiveness and mercy from Allah for an entire lifetime of sins.

We should also make a firm commitment to Allah that we will change ourselves for the better for the rest of the year as Ramadan is for life not just for one month.

We must remember that our time is very short and that this may well be our very last Ramadan as it was the last Ramadan for so many who thought they would make it!

So let us grab this opportunity with both hands! If we walk towards Allah then he will run towards us!

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK

Tonight could be Laylatul Qadr as it is the 25th night. Tuesday night will be the 27th and Thursday night will be the 29th.

So let us make the best of these short easy nights in order to gain over a lifetime (83 years) of reward and entire lifetime of forgiveness! Subhanallah how generous and merciful is Allah who looks for every excuse to reward and forgive us. Those of us who miss out are the biggest losers and surely we will be in utter regret on the day of judgement.

Therefore this is the best opportunity to change our lives for the better forever!

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK

The 27th Night of Laylatul Qadr is TONIGHT! The Majority of scholars believe Laylatul Qadr will fall on the 27th Night

"Verily this month has come to you where there is a night better than a 1000 Months. Whosoever is deprived of it, is deprived of all good; and none is deprived of its good except a totally unfortunate person ”. (Ibn Majah)

"Whosoever stands up (in prayer) on the Night of Power out of faith & hopeful of reward, all his past sins will be forgiven."
    (Targhib)

How unfortunate is the person who misses out on such a blessed night where on can gain over 83 years of worship reward which is more than an average lifetime and an entire lifetime of sins forgiven!

The Majority of scholars believe this night will fall on the 27th night of Ramadan. The night comes before the day so the night will be from Maghrib on the 26th day of Ramadan until Fajr.

So let us not miss out on worshipping Allah on this blessed night lest we be of the unfortunate ones who will be in utter regret for eternity!

If I'm not mistaken, the majority of scholars don't believe that laylatul qadr will fall on the 27th night. They acknowledge the existence of hadeeth that mention the 27th night and mention that gives it a greater possibility, and it is most likely out of the other nights to fall then, but also acknowledge those hadeeth that mention any of the last ten nights, and thus while there could be a greater possibility that it falls on the 27th night, the consensus of the majority is that it could be any of the last ten nights, more likely the odd ones and of those, most likely the 27th. So it could, in reality fall on any of these nights.

But these are mentioned as possibilities, not that it will fall on such a date, as stated in your first post in the thread:

Certainly though, extra effort should be made in worship on all the odd nights, 27th included, and even the even nights for those that can manage it. And tonight should be made the most of too.

And Allah knows best in all matters.

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK

I just saw the most disturbing thing tonight...

On Green St, East Ham - which is know for it's Indian and Pakistani shops...

The Pakistani's were out in force. Our car got blocked because police were managing the crowds... crowd control.

Pakistani's were blowing horns and generally causing nuisance on the street. It was like a demonstration - except it wasn't a demo... it was them celebrating Pakistan's Independence... on this, the 27th night of Ramadhan...

Girls were all dolled up, and acting like idiots.. The guys were worse, blowing horns and pumping music with insanely offensive lyrics on systems that could be heard half a mile down the road.

I feel this Ummah has gone to pot.

Pakistani's have really let the side down.

    I am very upset.

What I saw, I cannot begin to describe. What the heck is wrong with Pakistani people? why are they so proud of their independence? Do they not realise that:

    1) They got nothing to be proud of.
    2) They live in a military run state
    3) it is a very important night, and they are making fools out of themselves
    4) they have cheesed off the local community of Muslims and non Muslims with this display of pomp and pride...

I am just so shocked at this. Really. On the 27th night of all nights...

Please, remember these lost people in your dua's pray that Allah gives them hidayah.

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK

Tonight is the 29th and so there is a great possibility that it may be Laylatul Qadr. On top of that it is Jummatul Wida which is the last Friday of Ramadan and so we should make the best of this blessed night by worshipping Allah, thanking him, and making a firm commitment to him and to internalise in our minds that we will change for the better and strive to bring our deen into our lives and to do everything to please him and refrain from anything that may anger or displease him.

Re: Laylatul Qadr 2012 dates in the UK

    The special Hour of Acceptance:

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said: "On Friday there is a particular hour if a Muslim happens to make Dua to Allah for something good then Allah will surely fulfill his request"... (Bukhari)

This hour could be anytime on Jummah but the Majority of scholars believe there is a greater possibility that this special hour is the hour between Asr and Maghrib. So in the UK it is between 19:30 pm until Iftaar time today in your country just calculate an hour before Iftaar.

On top of that it is also the last Jummah of Ramadan and so we should make the best of this special hour and make a long, intense & sincere Dua to Allah & remember the oppressed Muslims. Please mention me in your Dua's to. to.
