I purchased a gift from a travel that I made. They are Gold Plate Bookmarks. They are 24kt Gold. They have a picture of the Ocean and buildings (but no people on them).

can I use them for my quran? Or any other book? Or is it haram to use a gold 24 karrot bookmark?

They are very thin like paper and way 0.001 lbs probably. Very small, about 4 inches by 4 inches.

They were very cheap, but I liked the design ...
