People don’t advise others for them to accept it or even agree with it. It's not a indication that the advisor himself is perfect or free from blemishes. It's not an imposition of the will or the ideas of one upon the other
People advise others simply because we’re told to remind each other in the Quran- reminders benefit the believer.
I think it is always easy giving advice, because we do not have to follow it. I remember growing up as a child, and my parents gave me good advice, which I often ignored. Now I have children and grandchildren, and give them good advice, and guess what, I find out they ignore me in the same way I disobeyed my parents at times.
Maybe the best advice is to try and change ourselves, rather than try and change other people.
