So as it's convenient I take my salah times off the internet, the website I use has several options.
The hanafi/shafi one I get as it is a matter of madhab, but there's another option for an angle-based rule/ one-seventh rule, so what's that about? It affects Fajr and Isha timing by around an hour, so quite significant imo. I just go with the one-seventh rule because that's what the nearest mosque does.
Can someone explain to me in a simple way how are the rules calculated to come up with the different timings and are they both valid, or is one more mainstream?
