An Iraqi army colonel said it was impossible to differentiate between civilians and fighters who melt in amongst them. Finally someone who confirms what I have been thinking all along. Mosul is not occupied by elusive ISIS fighters. This is just a insurgency in which the local population rejects rule from Bagdad. The reason why it is impossible to differentiate between civilian and fighters, is because there is no difference. We know from leaked Hillary emails and from comments made by Obama himself at various times, plus from political analysts and journalists who do their jobs properly that the US has been the primary force is arming, funding and propagating various arms groups across Muslim countries, most prominently in Iraq and Syria.
