    Breaking fast bleeding mouth

    Report bad ads?

Al salam a'likom i was wondring i have a bad habit of bitting my mouth and lips
    So my question is
    1. Does it break my fast (sorry if thats disgusting) if i shallow a part of tissue from my mouth while bitting it if i intended to do so
    2. And doesit break my fast ( also sorry if thats disgusting ) If i bit my lip and it started bleeding but it stopped if i lick the part which was bleeding which is kinda injured and may have some blood cloth and might tast like blood does that break my fast
    3. ( don't worry that one isn't disgusting ) if it does is it sufficient enough to fast it again or do i have to repent or is there anything i should do if i did them knowing that i did

    Re: Breaking fast bleeding mouth

    wa'alaikum as'salaam,

normally, consuming anything invalidates the fast. So I would avoid eating tissues or biting it out.

The guidelines concerning the blood that invalidates the fast are as follows:
1 – If the blood comes out as the result of a person’s actions or choice; this is subject to further discussion:

    (i) If the blood comes out by means of cupping, this invalidates the fast, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The cupper and the one to whom cupping is done both break their fast.”

(ii) If it comes out by a means other than cupping, such as venesection (opening a vein). If the amount is large and that has an effect on the person’s body, then this invalidates his fast (such as donating blood). If the amount is small and it does not harm the person, then it does not invalidate his fast, such as the small amount of blood that is taken for testing.
