    Unhappy For the arrogant...

I am concerned in hearing so many problems of family relationship breakdowns. I have seen so many examples of this being caused by the arrogance of individuals, they think they are independent and that they can just do what they want (with little reflection of the impact on others), people disrespecting their parents. I like to use the example of those that ostracise their family members, such as their parents:

    1. There are people, who don't even allow their own parents to see their grandchildren. They are happy to be all nice to teachers, doctors, but with those people who love their children unconditionally and willing to die for the them-their parents, they reject them. Why then should Allah answer their prayer, if they need something?? Do they think that Allah just specially sends Angels down to provide blessings, it comes through other people too, why would Allah allow you to meet other good people, when you refuse to get along and treat your own parents well??

    2. They like to say, they are independent and can do what they please-are they able to deny their grandparents from seeing their grandchildren in the hereafter?? Aren't they that arrogant. All children and everyone belong to Allah. There are people that are so arrogant, that they look down on certain people and refuse to accept some good from them-then again, why should Allah send someone to give you the very same thing, that you rejected taking from someone else.

Everyone has limits, on how many people you can have in your lives, you can't always start again, and again. Consider there are those that say, they wish they were born in a different family-they will not be asking for that on the Day of Judgement, Allah is not going to allow you to keep meeting different people to be tested by-you test also is how you treat each other in this world, to prove how OK you are. There are people who talk like the non-believers when they rejected the Prophets, "who do you think you are", they even say this to their parents after everything they have been given, a Muslim is supposed to listen and if your demonstrating behaviour that is akin to how the unbelievers rejected the Prophets, then why would Allah answer your prayers?? If you were alive at the time of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, would these people have listened to him.

There are people who have been plain awful to their families, parents, they like to put up a front that they give to charity, but if you cannot even treat people who are closer to you well, and support your parents, then what is the value of your charity?? People are using emotional abuse to their parents and other relatives, by preventing them from having contact with children. This will be written on their record on the Day of Judgement. It is not something that people can brush off and say it's just my choice, when Muslims are supposed to be supporting each other, their parents.

Reject, and reject and treat people badly, why should Allah send someone else to help you??

Qatadah reported: A man of Khath’am came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, “Are you the one who thinks he is the Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “Yes.” The man said, “O Messenger of Allah, which deeds are most beloved to Allah?” The Prophet said, “Faith in Allah.” The man said, “Then what?” The Prophet said, “To maintain family relationships.” The man said, “O Messenger of Allah, which deeds are most hateful to Allah?” The Prophet said, “To associate idols with Allah.” The man said, “Then what?” The Prophet said, “To sever family family relationships.” The man said, “Then what?” The Prophet said, “To enjoin evil and forbid good.

To those people that have suffered greatly, may Allah be with you. Keep steadfast and remember your reward is in the hereafter, you have to remember you don't share the same path of the arrogant that have so much to learn and do, and cannot make it our goal to wait for them to learn and do the responsible thing and treat people better.

One question to ask. Sister, are you talking about yourself? Are you that parent that this scenario happened to you?
