I want to get more knowledge in Islam and more closer to Allah and increase my love for him
Where can I learn more about him and his miracles and stories?
Asalaamu Alaikum.
For us to really get closer to Allah, we have to try and get to know him. How? By reading and understanding the meanings of his words. Surely the best Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) is to read the Qur'an and reflect upon what we read. If we connect to the Qur'an on a daily basis then we connect to Allah on a daily basis. By connecting to the Qur'an, it will raise us in this life and the next. It will intercede for us when we will be in desperate need of intercession, it will expand our knowledge and it will enable us to get to know Allah and his own explanation of his commandments, Miracles, favours upon mankind as well as enabling us to develop Taqwa (fearful awareness of him).
It will also enable us to understand his warnings unto the wrong doers and disbelievers as well as glad tidings to the righteous, patient and good doers. Surely there can be nothing better for us to get closer to him than to read the Qur'an and understand the meanings of his words. However at the same time we must implement what we read and understand into our daily lives as we will be accountable on the day of judgement if we don't.
