What is a seer you might ask?
Well the term seer has many different outlooks.
It could mean a claivoyant, as in someone that has extra-sensory perception. This could simply go by having the extra sensory seeing and detailing compassion.
It could mean prophet, which I know is a very strictly orthodox word, but generally refers to anyone that trying to promote or enlighten others with the wisdom of god.
It could mean a shaman, as in a Islamic mysticist. Someone who practices or supports mystic ideas like becoming intune with god by a various rituals and such.
It could also just refer to as a watcher or someone that is just looking out for other people in terms of safety or just the overall general reality. Like a politician.

Seers don't always see. They can just visualize or established a general picture of something.
The term seer has more to do with the word, "perception."
And perceptions is just the process of acquiring, interpreting, selecting, and organizing sensory information.
Eyes aren't the only form of sensory. Hands, tongue, ears, nose, and some propose the mind it self can be considered different forms of sensory perception.
A cat can easily be considered a seer, since it has the sensory of detecting earthquakes.
