I work at JCPenney's, and occasionally I see middle eastern women coming in wearing long robes and have their heads covered, and have a bead in the middle of their forehead. Does the bead have any particular meaning, or is it just a decoration?
Re: why do some women wear a bead in the middle of their forehead?
Peace
thats a hindu custom not a muslim one.
its generally called a 'bindi'. it is traditionally a spot put for marriage though now many people including muslims wear stuff similiar stuff like that for fashion
Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed.
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and expiate from us our evil deeds, and make us die (in the state of righteousness) along with Al-Abrar

In the movie Salman put the bead to his bride forehead in the night of wedding - it was like a ring which will show to everyone she is married. It was a very touchy moment. I think its red henna
