I'm a former Orthodox Jew from Northern California, I'm adopted from an Iranian family, and I've always believed in God, my family is Jewish but secular and the religion that I had most exposure to was Judaism, Christianity was always totally out of the picture, mainly because it's an inconsistent missionary religion. I became Orthodox Jewish about two years ago and I was very happy with my change. About 3 months ago I became disenchanted with Judaism because of there not being many jews around me, and then I thought, how could Jews be God's chosen people if they've been persecuted so much, and there really aren't many of them left?
I then recieved a Qur'an in the mail, which I had ordered previously because I was interested in checking out Islam. As I read, everything started to make sense to me.
I am 15, and I'm proud to say, Alhamdulilah I'm a Muslim.
