World resources becoming scarce?!

the worlds resources are running out, we are running out of readily available base metals even nevermind oil and gas.

this basically means that the world is gonna get a whole lot more nasty, and yes that does worry me as living in a highly technologically advanced society after makes you far more vulnerable to such a collapse than if you live closer to the agricultural base of civilisation.

bro i was just curious, if the resources are becoming scarce then are the prices going to boost like crazy?! Also shouldnt methods of longer preservation be put into effect?!

Ive spoken to some people about these things and they seem to think that its very unlikely that resources are running out, rather due to economic interests it may be made to seem as though resources are scarce.

I really dont have much knowledge on economy, but i just wanted to know what proof is there for the scarcity of resources?!

I don't know much about this, but what I do know is that the World has more fossil fuels and resources than you think. One type of fuel...or something...should've ran out 2 or 3 years ago, but it didn't. 'Cause what happens see; substances runs out in one area, but then they find another place in the Earth that contains even more of that substance. Also when they report coal for example is going to be completely gone by say, 2010, it's only a prediction; there's no real and accurate way of truly predicting when a substance is going to run out...

That's what the teachers told us anyway, correct me if I'm wrong .
