I am the Marketing Head of an FMCG company and for over a few weeks, I have been feeling dizziness, anxiety, and a dreadful sense of doom which I feel is a result of over exertion. After a recent fight at work with my boss during a marketing campaign the situation, became severe. Stress is destroying my life. I don’t know what to do. Please suggest.
Thanks!
Someone said to the Prophet, "Pray to God against the idolaters and curse them." The Prophet replied, "I have been sent to show mercy and have not been sent to curse." (Muslim)
Take a break from your job for a while, chillax at home and when you feel better go back to work.
The World is three days: As for yesterday, it has vanished, along with all that was in it. As for tomorrow, you may never see it. As for today, it is yours, so work in it.
- Hassan al-Basri
Whenever you feel the stress is overwhelming, why dont you try calming yourself by taking a short walk. To another part of the building or other department if not the park since if its office hour. While walking, take deep breath slowly and keep thinking of God. If nobody can help you, not boss nor staff, think who else can you turn to?
I used to work in a design firm where they have easily two dozen design and construction projects running simultaneously. My 2 person department was really hectic that many times my neuron was firing so fast, :enough!: I thought I was going crazy because many thoughts of work and other tings flashed rapidly in very short interval. Being a muslim, I have been taught that we have to be patient in everyting and that Allah will not test us with things we couldn't cope with. So, I take short walk away from my desk and in my heart I recite Allah's names or just calling out for Allah to help me finish my work keep me sane. I love my job and I also need the salary. It worked for me. Hope it works for you.
