A figure lay on white sheets; his long legs were stretched on the fabric. The contrast between the denim jeans he wore and the pale sheets radiated a sense of cleanness. He gazed at the roof of his bed as he continued to hum the latest hip hop song. His soft dark eyes glistened and a soft smile crossed his delicate face but in the same instance it vanished.
One could never quite understand what was behind those smiles but then again no one questioned him. He was a creature of beauty and elegance with a bad attitude. Just the combination the society he lived in craved for. No one dared to give him neither a look of suspicion nor a look of disappointment. All those who stopped to take a second glance only did so because they wanted to take a glimpse at his beauty.
“Adam, it is prayer time,” said a woman outside his bedroom door. Adam took off his headphones and gazed at the wooden mahogany door.
“Yeah I’m about to pray now,” lied Adam.
“Well why don’t you lead the prayer for all of us then?” asked the woman.
“I prefer praying on my own,” Adam replied. For a split second it sounded as though the woman was going to argue but intend she sighed and left. Adam rolled his eyes and picked up the headphones.
“Did she honestly think I was going to pray? What a fool,” whispered Adam to himself.
Several minutes later when his favorite track finished he picked up his mobile phone, dialed a set of numbers and listened as the phone rang. “Hey what party are we going to?” questioned Adam.
“Dungeon’s,” replied a man with a hoarse voice.
“I’m under age though,” muttered Adam, his eyes suddenly darkening.
“When is that ever a problem?” laughed the man on the other side of the phone.
“Alright, see you at 10 then,” concluded Adam. He placed his phone on his bedside table and carried on with listening to his favourite tracks.
The room was of normal size but due to the pale cream walls it made it look more spacious and bigger. A large mahogany cupboard, table and chair were placed neatly to one corner of the bedroom. The contrast between the two colours looked so beautiful. It was almost shocking to see a teenagers bedroom look so clean and tidy.
No smelly socks hidden underneath the bed, no dirty clothing lying all over the floor and bed. Some people say how a bedroom looks can say a lot about a person but for Adam, that statement didn’t do much justice in revealing about his inner thoughts or personality. The handsome guy was all you could swallow at any given time, everything else seemed so insignificant and irrelevant.
