lool I'm actually a few months way overdue on the whole anniversary thing...omg dude I just noticed we joined LI in the same month, 1 year apart. :omg:

May Allah grant us good health and strength for the years to come to better worship him Ameen.
 
I have just realized I went over 2000 posts recently alhamdulilah :).

Allahuma ameen. Loool the funny thing was that I used to try not to get over the 2,000 post mark. I'd think: quality over quantity ;)

LI grew up with a lot of us, and it began to change as we were changing, and its a lot less active now..and maybe it's because of the new social media, but I also think its because we're all grown up with lives, jobs, and families. I see someone I know post, and it doesn't feel like the same someone I saw posting years ago. We've matured, we understand our boundaries, and it's much more formal now. Some of that charm is lost because we're all not as active as before, but...from time to time, I like to come here just to see if this place is still alive and reminisce.

So the brothers were talking and reminiscing on Facebook and I noticed you're not on there! I came on here to stalk you and found this is the least serious thread you've recently posted in. :) Miss you bro.

Btw, Charisma, I think zAk was against the idea of the recitations only being in the brothers section. Half of the world has now been deprived of his amazing voice masha'Allah tabarakAllah.

Jokes aside, you guys are all awesome and I benefited greatly from you all! May Allah bless you all and unite us in jannah, aameen.

So, wow, sis charisma, that's great! I should mention here that I have been reading this board on and off for years, though I didn't join until recently. I know it is kinda weird, but I noticed the discussion posts of our resident non-Muslim members more (when I hadn't joined, that is) and there were many for whom I felt and still feel great respect, examples of the people are Eric H, Grace Seeker, glo, and Pygoscelis, and there are probably others too but I'm not very good with screen names.

Yea, the Forum does seem kinda slow now - dunno why! Hopefully, it is given new life In-sha-Allah. That being said, I'm happy to be here for now.
