Wealth isn't the root of all evil but a tool which can be used for good and evil; and it's a very powerful tool. It's not far fetched to say it determines who runs the world. Recently in America we saw how the American Goverment itself is entirely reliant on funds.. Yes, the president appoints those that run the Fed, but he also knows that if he does not tread lightly he won’t get the money from the big Wall Street banks that he needs for his next election. Similiarly the PM relies on funds to run his campaigns and to get elected etc

There are many reasons why we should be uncomfortable having so much wealth accumulated by so few we know nothing about seeing as how it can be such a devastating tool. They only get richer thanks to the usury based system. The Saudis themselves take advantage of Usury; infact they hold majority shares in JP Morgan Chase bank and also Citi group.

So in a twisted way, although not so transparent, The American Goverment not only empowers terrorists by selling Arms to their partisans but may also be indirectly funding them:
An unknown portion of the money “might have ended up with Islamic insurgents.” Although Lewis doesn’t mention it by name, the U.S. bank in question is Bank of America, which denies the charges. The testimony has received very limited press coverage, but the BBC has an article about it here.

We are, as needed by those in power, given the illusion of control because when it's taken from us we will question it and fight for it. The Grim reality is we have already lost control as recently we had to bail out the banks and go into recession. We need to watch out for the financial terrorists also:

The 80 most wealthy people have more wealth than 3 billion people. Starvation and deprivation is not a question of resources, its a question of distribution.

That's true. So the problem is how can we distribute it if the financial system is setup in a way to allow some to monopolize that wealth. Clearly they don't appear to be sharing if we are still having problems with poverty. And this problem will only get worse according to the report.
