Maybe I can be of some help. My husband and I had decided to do just that and went to Abu dhabi with nothing but some savings and no job in hand. Alhamdolillah by the end of exact fourth week my husband had started his new job. But he had to go through a lot of trouble.
There was one thing though, my dad was already living there and helped us ALOT, we lived for free in a hotel for about 2 months and my maternal uncle knew all the companies as he was already working there as a marketing person.
Every morning they would go out and drop his CV at every engineering/oil company. Then theyd return for lunch and then theyd go out for the second shift. i dont even know how many companies they visited, but he had about 5/7 interviews in 2 weeks, he chose the one he liked, contract formalities took a week and Alhamdolillah end of fourth week he was going to work.
We tried so much to apply for a job online on many sites when we were in europe, i just couldn't stand living there anymore, but it didnt work. The UAE visa regulations are much easier as compared to saudi and kuwait, especially kuwait which proved to be a nightmore for us.
In all of this, you have huge risks ahead of you. Middle estern jobs are based on immediate availability of the candidate,, they unlike european companies do not pay for the candidate to be flown in from other continent, or even another country. They also want them to start working immediately. Alot of jobs are not advertised, most are advertised in local papers and the ones which ARE advertised online are highly specialised ( 15 yrs experience and a PhD

) and even then you may never hear from them.
The best way to get a job in the middle east is to go there and apply. It is a risky thing to do you mostly need wasta ( contacts/recommendatiosn from local person/company) and you would have to aply for huge rents and transportation everyday trying to find a job on top of that support your family.
I am not trying to put you off, I was so sure about Allah helping us that Alhamdolillah it happened so quickly for us, without any problems and without any wasta. May Allah have mercy on you too and solve your problems. But do think about it and do not jump into it and try and contact the HR department by phone or email of the company the he wants to apply to before hand so you can build up a connection.
try and find a list of companies in the country you want to go to. I loved Kuwait the best, MAshaAllah.
