If you are reading namaaz, and someone in front/ or around you falls/ collapses, what do you do?

do you stop and help them or do you continue reading namaaz?

Salaam Sister,

If you are reading namaz it is best to keep on reading namaz, because someone who is not reading namaz can go and help them. The same thing pertains to a mother or father calling his/her child whilst praying. They are to continue praying that's how important it is. The prophet Muhammed (swt) said even if a mother is calling her child during prayers, that child must continue praying.

Assalamu alaikum

If they just stumble and you know they are capable of standing up again on their own without much difficulty, continue performing your Salah.

If a person collapses and their condition is life-threatening/deeply distressed and there is no- one else around to help them to ease their pain then it would make sense to break your Salah. The hadith sister Halima mentioned did not permit a child to break their salah if the situation is not dire. Otherwise it is.

Ma'assalama
