ok, please don't ask me why I'm posting as anon, i have my reasons....
we know that drinking alcohol is haram, but what about using it externally?
In beauty products they use sometimes alcohol...

Also, is cidervinegar haram?

Once I was in the stores and I wanted to buy vanilla extract and there was ethanol in it. It is used as a flavoring when baking, but is It still haram if I use it as a flavoring?

On this there are mixed views, some say yes as its external and most of these beauty products alcohol is diluted and not quite the original form.
Personally i'd abstain unless necessery.
