Glo and Supreme are somehow trying to justify that this sickening act was done in the name of Islam because these women were not wearing veil? Look at the face of that sister, shes clearly wearing a Hijab and a modest dress. Even if she was not, no where in islam is prescribed the punishment of dressing immodestly to be destroyed by acid.
As I clarified before, it is the article which states that these attacks seem to be carried out by a group which "warned women to wear the hijab, the traditional Muslim headscarf, and not to visit markets unaccompanied by men from their families".
Two weeks ago, an unknown group - the Baloch Ghairatmand Group (the Honourable Baloch Group) - claimed responsibility for a similar attack on two women in a market in Dalbandin city.
The group had warned women to wear the hijab, the traditional Muslim headscarf, and not to visit markets unaccompanied by men from their families.
Perhaps they were wearing hijab. As you rightly say, the woman shown certainly is wearing hijab - at least at the time the picture was taken after the attack.
Although the article does not say so specifically, is it possible that they were walking without a male escort, and that it was that which drew their attackers' attention to them?
The sisters, aged between 14 and 20 years old, were attacked as they walked from Kalat city to Pandarani village
Either way, I am sure we can agree that this is a horrific attack, which is clearly not justified according to Islamic teachings.
Even if these girls did wrong, they did not receive such cruel punishment!
How awful! imsad
I hope a way can be found to stop such groups operating and giving Islam a bad name!
