afraid of committment

:-[ All the time i hear this saying, but what does it mean? is it a bad thing to be afraid of commitment? from what i know of its meaning, it seems like im afraid of commitment :-[

It could mean alot of things. Some people are scared of committment cause they dont want to get hurt. Some arent scared, but simply dont want to be tied down.

i think with commitment comes responsibilty

Some people dont wana be tied down

or afraid they cant take on that responsibilty
