The Allah’s Messenger salla Allaho alaihi wa sallam said:
“Allah Ta’ala said”, “ By My Honor and My Jalaal, I don’t combine two fears and two safeties on My servant”.
Here is a question about the above hadith that what are those two fears and two safeties?
The answer given is:
Translation
All praise is for Allah and salaat and salaam on Allah’s Messenger, and on his family and companions and then:
The hadeeth is reported by ibn Habaan in his Saheeh and by Al-Behaqi in the Sho’b-al-Eemaan from Abu Hurairah, from the prophet (Muhammad) salla Allaho alaihi wa sallam in which passed on to him from his Rabb Jalla wa a’laa:
“By My Honor, I don’t combine on My servant two fears and two safeties, If he fears Me in the world then I shall give him safety on the Day of Resurrection, and if he remains fearless and considers himself to be safe from Me in the world then I shall put on him fear on the Day of Resurrection.”) Thus the two fears are the fear of the servant in this world and his fear on the Day of Resurrection. If he feared Allah Ta’ala and did actions to obey Allah, he shall be given safety from the fright of the Day of Resurrection. And the two safeties are the safety in this world and safety on the Day of Resurrection. So if he (a servant) felt safety (lack of fear) from Allah’s Plan in the world and did actions of sins in disobedience to Him (Allah), and none becomes fearless of the Plan of Allah except the nation in loss, then Allah shall put fear on him on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah Ta’ala knows the best.
***************************************************************************************************************
The purpose of hadith is to guide mankind on the right path and to put the fear of Allah in his heart/mind because due to the fear of Allah’s punishment here and in the Hereafter, he will remain straight in his worldly life. There are many ahaadeeth in Bukhaari and other books of Hadeeth. Allah promised to preserve the Holy Quraan but didn’t promise to preserve the hadeeth. So the Prophet (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him) said that whoever made a statement and intentionally, attributed it to the Prophet (Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him), he/she made his/her place in Hell.
Therefore, every Muslim must fear Allah concerning Hadeeth. Now he/she will find many kind of ahaadeeth in Bukhaari and other books, true and false ahaadeeth because this is the end of this world and many enemies are active in changing and replacing ahaadeeth. So using his/her wisdom, they should choose such hadeeth which in his/her understanding, will guide the readers to the Right Path i.e. to fear Allah and obey Allah and His Messenger salla Allaho alaihi wa sallam. Thus they will do righteous deeds and keep away from evil actions. And thus they will hope for Allah’s Mercy and safety on the Day of Judgement. But a hadeeth like at the link Hadeeth of the day, we can see here that this hadeeth is given in Bukhaari but it goes against the verses of the Holy Quraan and also against other ahaadeeth. For example, if you only read the above hadeeth about “two fears” carefully, you can decide at once that the disobedient man mentioned in the hadeeth at the link
Hadeeth of the day
didn’t fear Allah in this world. He considered himself safe from Allah’s plans in this life and therefore he passed his whole life in disobedience to Allah. So he cannot get safety from Allah in the next world. Therefore the hadeeth is false and wrong.
Moreover, you should also ask your wisdom and conscience about a hadeeth to be chosen, “will it guide people to the fear and obedience of Allah or is it going to make people fearless of Allah’s Punishment and encourage them to do evil the whole life?”. If this is the case i.e. it will make people fearless of Allah’s Punishment and encourage them to do evil the whole life, then you must understand that you are choosing a hadeeth to mislead people and you will surely face the accounting and terrible punishment. Straying and misleading people by bringing wrong hadeeth, is a major sin which will not be forgiven, and Allah knows the best. So, o dear Muslims, be careful in presenting ahaadeeth to people! More over, fearing Allah the hadeeth at the given link Hadeeth of the day
must be removed. May Allah guide us all to the Right Path and protect us from His Anger, aameen.
