Wa Alykom Asalam Wa Rahmat Allah Wa Barakatoh

its allah-u akbar
and

allahumma antassalam---->if there is nothing after it like you will say it and stop

and
allahumm antassalamu-----> if you will say something after like continue the duaa
ex:
allahumm antassalamu wa menka asalam

I hope that did not confuse you brother.

please ask if you need more examples

With all due respect I think you are mistaken.

Out of the two transliterations the questioner has written:

allah-u akbar and alla-hu akbar it is more closer to the second i.e. alla-hu akbar.

So if I may put it in a slightly different transliteration it is:

Allah-hoo-Akbar just like the sound in the English word 'who' as in 'who does this belong to?'.

Remember : that 'hoo' sound is from the dummah (round mark above the letter not the slanted line) on the last letter ('ha') of Allah. You may have heard people saying 'Allah-hoo' just add 'Akbar' and you have the right pronunciation.

well, its hard to explain it in word but for the word allah-u Akbar, I just put the u separated to make it easier in pronouncing
its hard to explain the grammar details in english to the questioner

but yeah ur explanation is much easier than mine.....jazak allah khair brother
