1. Protection in the Grave (Azaab-e-Qabar)

The ultimate and most powerful benefit of Surah Al-Mulk is its ability to shield the reciter from the trials and punishments of the grave.

Daleel: Abdullah bin Mas’ud (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) called it “Al-Mani’a” (The Preventer), stating: “It is a protector; a rescuer; saving from the chastisement of the grave.” (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2890).

2. Intercession on the Day of Judgment

Surah Al-Mulk acts as a loyal companion that will continuously argue on your behalf on the Day of Resurrection until Allah grants you Jannah.

Daleel: Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said, “There is a Surah in the Quran consisting of thirty verses which will keep pleading for a man until his sins are forgiven. This Surah is ‘Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion’ (Surah Al-Mulk).” (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2891).

Beautiful reminder 😊

But please note that the whole Qur’an is the word of Allah, and every surah carries blessings and guidance. Rather than focusing on one surah only, we can try to build a habit of reading a little every day.

Even 1–2 pages daily, starting from Al-Fatiha and continuing consistently, can help us complete the Qur’an over time. Taking breaks to read the translation and reflect on the meaning makes the connection even deeper.

This way we benefit from the light and guidance of all of Allah’s words, not just one part

JazakAllah Khair for this beautiful and valid point, brother Nasimudhikr! I completely agree with you. The entire Quran is a profound source of light, and building a habit of reading it daily from start to finish is essential for our spiritual growth.

The specific reason I highlighted Surah Al-Mulk is because reciting it every night before sleep is a highly emphasized Sunnah of our Prophet (PBUH), acting as a specific shield for the grave. It is a targeted nighttime habit that complements our regular daily Tilawat.

Many brothers and sisters struggle to build this specific nighttime routine or want a distraction-free way to read its translation before bed. That is exactly why I put together a dedicated, ad-free resource to make it easier for people to read, listen, or download the PDF at night: https://surahalmulk.org

May Allah grant us all the consistency to recite His entire Book daily and act upon its guidance. Ameen!
