The Prophet - upon him peace - gave further confirmation of this sequence of events in another hadith. When Hudhayfa - Allah be well-pleased with him - asked what the immediate sign of the Western sunrise would be, the Prophet replied that it would be preceded by an inordinately long night, lasting two or three times more than normal. Ibn Marduyah and al-Bayhaqi narrated it from Hudhayfa and Ibn Abi Awfa as stated by Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Bari (11:355).

it is the least feraful sign, but its the initial confirmation of everything to come, which is most frightening, not that we dont believe in all that is to come, but its just a huge wake up call, and its terrifying.

if it doesnt cum, and you abuse our trust, the end will come one day, and you will be done for by Allah and well be compensated for our loss, so either way you loose lol.

I thought that when the sun rises from the west, the doors of repentance will be closed..

However, we haven't had the other major signs yet for this to occur..e.g.Night of 40 nights, If however I have it wrong..please correct me..

oopsie..meant that first there'll be a mist for 40 days..
Thereafter there'll be a night so long, it'll extend to 3 nights and people become wearisome..
Thereafter the sun will rise from the Western Horizon..
Thereafter Mount Safa will be destroyed..

Point is, that these will all happen after the appearance of Imam Mahdi and Dajjal
(I'm gonna see in which book I found the fact that the doors of repentance are closed and Insha'allah I'll get back to you on that!)
