Muhammad is prophesized by NAME, while Jesus is not. If you read the link I gave you, you will see the numerous prophecies for Prophet Muhammad in BOTH the Old and new testament.

About the Jews, we discussed their arguments on the forum before, and it wasn't a matter of refuting the argument, since both arguments were possible for the Song of Solomon. But when the Christians try to use it as a proof for Christ, it is clearly more closer to a proof for Prophet Muhammad saws.

:w: :brother: You have all made very good poinrts but I need to point somthing out Allah has said seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave. I am not saying that we sould be bible thumpers but in the origanal text of the bible there is truth and all the religious book came from Allah. It says in the Qu'ran Surah 5:69 Those who believe{in the Qu'ran}and those who follow the{Torah}and the Sabians and the Christians,Any who believe in Allah and the last day and work rightiousness on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve. :Koran: :muslimah: Remember if its for the cause of Allah ,Allah will always be with you!!!

I think there is a miscontruence on the matter.

Using the bible tyo prove both its invalidity to the truth and as proof for the validation of Muhamamd is not an error ,rather it opoints to the error of those whointerpreted the bible amopng the christians.

1. using a text to disapprove itself is naturally a part of the art of refuting.

2. When a certain beleif or concept or statement professes that another thing has truth in it, but has been corrupted, then by default the thing that has the truth is used as a criterion for the later. So the Quraan is the judge for what is present in the bible. Whatever goes with the quraan is the trtuh, sicne the quaan is all truth with no lie or deception. Whatever is not in accordance with the quraan is rejected. The Quraan specifically revealed that Allah said that he "Muhamamd" was the unlettered one spoken of in the previous books. When we examine the texts of the old and new testaments, we can see from both logic andreligion that they point to muhamamd over any other person.

Actually in the jewish scripture 9hebrew) in Isaih I beleive actually says Muhammad's name as "Muhamidun" which the arabic equivalent is Muhamamd. I hope I can search the reference for this inshallah.

I'd just like to say I like Shakira's POV. Allah's cause is all important.

The Sabi perspective on Christian (and any other) doctrine is that anything which does not contradict what came before it in the scriptures is acceptable. Hence the way Sabi`een understand the Quran is different, even though it is a blessing for us to believe in it. However, since each book is perfect at the time of its revelation, it is enough to follow only what has come in the latest revelation if one so wishes, but then one would be misguided if one did not in that case also study the sunnah of the prophet that came with it.

The Zaboor do not contradict the Torah, neither the Injeel contradict these, neither does the Quran contradict any of these. If Jews allow their philosophizing to make it impossible for anything to come after the Torah then that is problematic. Similarly if any religious group allows its interpretation of its scriptures to become so dogmatic that they can not allow a literal agreement between their own scripture and a later scripture to be acceptable then that is also problematic. If Christians make their interpretation of Injeel irreconcilable with the Torah and Zaboor then that is also problematic. Likewise for Sabi`een, interpretation of the Quran which does not at the very least harmonise with the previous scriptures is also problematic for us (especially as we see that this certainly need not be the case at all).

The major problem with most Christians is that they have forgotten that Allah (greek TonTheon) is God's Name, and they pray to God's throne and God's spirit in total ignorance of God's Name. All of their other mistakes come from this simple yet incomparable mistake. -At least that is what it looks like to me.
