I'm going to have to say Sharks are my favorite animal. They are graceful, powerful and remind me that man must respect nature.
 
That is a type of monkey. Orang utan is a big ape.

Orang utans live in the forests in Kalimantan and Sumatra (Indonesia), but sadly their habitats are shrinking very rapidly due to deforestations from loggings, coal minings and palm oil plantations.
I have been to an Orang utans reserve in kalimantan. They are such gentle and fun animals and would imitate human behaviour.

Did you know that "Orang Utan" means "People of the forests" in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language)?

How many hours sleep do Kittens need? And do they need less sleep as they grow older? or stays the same all their life . . .
Like do they sleep all day coz they dont get enough sleep during the night? Aaah so yeah

Cats spend a great deal of their time sleeping. The average cat sleeps for 13-18 hours a day. The exact number can change according to the cat's age and personality. Cats that spend the day alone at home tend to sleep throughout the day.

Newborn kittens spend most of their time sleeping. In fact, this is nature's way to make sure that the kittens do not wander out of the nest, or make noise that might attract predators while the mother cat is away. As the weeks pass, the kittens' sleeping hours gradually change to match those of the adults.

From what I've observed, cats' sleeping isn't dictated by night and day. It's whenever they want, where ever they want ;-)

You may remember the feral calico kitten I posted some pictures of last week or so.

Well she is finally old enough to wean from her mother, so we adopted her before she ends up as a meal for an owl.

She is taking to the house and is getting along with the other meows.

In about 3 weeks we will bring her to the vet for her shots and get spayed. Then we will begin finding a good home for her.
