I was just replying, in joke, to sister bewildered's joke..

jareedah, newspaper?

Next: Mu'allif..

edit. sorry you were faster than me
Also, I don't understand the use of numbers in letters for Arabic written in English. Can someone please explain?

:sl:

I think, they are mainly used for those letters which do not have an english equivalent..I think 3 is used for 'ayn, 7 for haa, and 9 for qaaf..not sure about the rest.

^ jazaakallah khair for that.

Going by brother Abdullahii's sentence: Ina ibn 3umar 9ad suri9 . If it means indeed the son of Umar has been robbed, then that makes the 9 equal to qaaf (with two dots).

Using a Q would make it much easier to read.

Seriously, can't you guys go down a notch? Such high vocab, many of us are unable to participate! imsad

Words like Hirrun, Qittun, Saalihun, Kalbun, Himaarun, Hisaanun. Deekun, Mutbakhun!

Tear..?

Are you allowed to use a dictionary in this game?

Next for Rashaad: anta taalibun mujtahidoona. :p

Anta = You
Taalibun = Student
Mujtahidoona = (We haven't got so far in our Arabic book, but I'll take a guess...) Sacrificing. Well, I know it has to do with sacrifice.

:D
