Q3- wh at is the story of this Aayah? and the final jugde was for whom?

Q4-what is the meaning of the word نَفَشَتْ in the Aayah?

Q1- Where to find this Aayah in Qur`aan( number of Ayaah, the name of Surah and the number of the Juzu)?

Answer 1- Surah Al-Anbiyah' (The Prophets) surah no.21, ayah no.78, Juz no. 17 .

Q2- two persons have been mentined in the Aayah; who are they and what kind of kinship between them?

Answer 2-(I don't know if I have to mention them in detail or short.) They are Dawud (alaihe salam) and Sulaiman (alaihe salam). Dawud alaihe salam was prophet and king. Sulaiman (alaihe salam) was his son, he inherited Dawud in Prophethood and kingdom.

وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُودَ سُلَيْمَانَ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ

And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. (30) (38:30) Surah Sad

Allah tells us that he gave Sulayman to Dawud as a Prophet, as He says elsewhere:

وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ

And Solomon inherited David. (27:16) meaning, he inherited prophethood from him. Dawud had other sons besides Sulayman.

Who was Dawud (alaihe salam)?

Dawud
(alaihe salam) was a man of fine feature and short height with blue eyes, and was ruddy (having a healthy reddish color).
After Dawud
(alaihe salam) killed Jalut (Goliath), he became a hero overnight, and Israelites loved him. They wanted to see him as king over them. However, after Allah had granted Dawud (alaihe salam) the kingdom of Israel, it was the first time that Prophethood and kingship both came together in one family. Dawud (alaihe salam) became king as well as a Prophet. Allah said:

And indeed We bestowed grace on David from Us (saying): "O you mountains. Glorify (Allah) with him! And you birds (also)! And We made the iron soft for him." (10) Saying: "Make you perfect coats of mail, balancing well the rings of chain armour, and work you (men) righteousness. Truly, I am AllSeer of what you do." (11) (34:10-11)

And We subjected the mountains and the birds to glorify Our Praises along with Dawud (David), And it was We Who were the doers (of all these things). (79) And We taught him the making of metal coats of mail (for battles), to protect you in your fighting. Are you then grateful? (80) (surah no. 21:79-80)

Allah had softened the iron for him either miraculously in his hand, or granted him the knowledge to make it soften. Allah has also taught him the skills of making armours out of iron so that it could be worn in war and provide protection against the enemy's attack.Allah softened the iron in his hand that Dawud
(alaihe salam) did not need fire or hammer to make armour from iron. He has been mentioned in Quran as " man of strength" meaning strength in devotion and doing of good deeds.

"and remember Our slave Dawud (David), endued with power. Verily, he was ever oft-returning in all matters and in repentance (toward Allah). (17) Verily, We made the mountains to glorify Our Praises with him [Dawud (David)] in the 'Ashi (i.e. after the mid-day till sunset) and Ishraq (i.e. after the sunrise till mid-day). (18) And (so did) the birds assembled: all with him [Dawud (David)] did turn (to Allah i.e. glorified His Praises). (19) We made his kingdom strong and gave him Al-Hikmah (Prophethood, etc.) and sound judgement in speech and decision. (20)" (38:17-20)

Allah had granted Dawud
(alaihe salam) good voice, that whenever he sang his Book, the birds stopped in the air echoing with him and glorifying Allah with him. The mountains as well joined him in praise and glorification of Allah, every morning and every evening.Dawud (alaihe salam) has also been bestowed upon with fast recitation of his book, Zabur. It would take him to finish reading the Zabur what took for a horse to be saddled. It was a fast act of recitation with understanding which was granted by Allah.Zabur was the book revealed to Dawud as a Prophet, which according to a hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad, was revealed in the month of Ramadan. It contained admonitions and wisdom for his people.

Who was Sulaiman (alaihe salam)?

Allah had granted Sulaiman
(alaihe salam) from everything he needed to govern as a sovereign, more than what he granted other kings and rulers before or after him. He was given huge armies of men, jinn, birds, wild animals, and the knowledge and science of other things, and the ability to understand the other silent creatures. Allah counted this as one of the manifest bounties upon Sulaiman.

And Sulaiman (Solomon) inherited (the knowledge of) Dawud (David). He said: "O mankind! We have been taught the language of birds, and on us have been bestowed all things. This, verily, is an evident grace (from Allah)." (16) And there were gathered before Sulaiman (Solomon) his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they all were set in battle order (marching forwards). (17) (27:17-19)

Q3- wh at is the story of this Aayah? and the final jugde was for whom?

Answer 3 - It is narrated from Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'As (radi allahu anhu) that the Prophet [Salla Allahu Aleihi Wassalam] said:
"When Sulaiman completed the building of Bait-ul-Maqdis, he asked Allah for three favours, of which he was given only two, and we hope that the third favour will be for us. Sulaiman asked for judgement which could correspond to the judgement of Allah, and Allah accepted his prayer in this respect. He also asked for a kingdom which nobody could be given after him, and this prayer was also accepted. He also asked Allah that anyone who leaves his home only for the purpose of prayer in his mosque, all his sins may be forgiven to become like the day he was born. We hope that this one Allah may grant it to us."The judgement which corresponds the judgement of Allah, we find that the Quran has mentioned it in this Ayah:

And (remember) Dawud (David) and Sulaiman (Solomon), when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night and We were witness to their judgement. (78) And We made Sulaiman (Solomon) to understand (the case), and to each of them We gave Hukman (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and knowledge. (21:78,79)

(And (remember) Dawud and Sulayman, when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night;)
Ibn Jarir recorded that Ibn Mas`ud said: "Grapes which had grown and their bunches were spoiled by the sheep. Dawud (David)
(alaihe salam) ruled that the owner of the grapes should keep the sheep. Sulayman (Solomon) (alaihe salam) said, `Not like this, O Prophet of Allah!' Dawud (alaihe salam) said, `How then' Sulayman (alaihe salam) said: `Give the grapes to the owner of the sheep and let him tend them until they grow back as they were, and give the sheep to the owner of the grapes and let him benefit from them until the grapes have grown back as they were. Then the grapes should be given back to their owner, and the sheep should be given back to their owner.' When Dawud heard of it, he cancelled his previous verdict and ordered the new one.

Q4-what is the meaning of the word نَفَشَتْ in the Aayah?

Answer 4-
نَفَشَتْ is perfect verb فعل ماض, the actual word is nafash. In Tafsir Ibn kathir,Ibn `Abbas said: "Nafash means grazing.'' Shurayh, Az-Zuhri and Qatadah said: "Nafash only happens at night.'' Qatadah added, "and Al-Haml is grazing during the day.''

Dictionary meaning of نَفَشَتْ is : The sheep or goats, and the camels, pastured by night without a pastor or without the knowledge of a pastor: or dispersed themelves by night: dispersed themselves and pastured by night without knowledge [of the pastor]: or the sheep or goats entered among seed-produce.

نَفَشَتْ simply means pastured at night.
