Born Believer, I am finding this thread very interesting - exactly BECAUSE it highlights that innocent people who are killed in non-Western countries (as the title suggests) die at the hands of non-Muslims and Muslims alike.
I don't think it is divisive. It is factual.
I think it is humbling for us to see the truth and use it as a baseline.
Was this threat meant to list only those atrocities committed by non-Muslims against Muslims? If so, why? When Muslims and non-Muslims also die at the hands of Muslims.
And the question remains the same: "What can we do about the many innocent people who die needlessly in those countries? How can we change these situations?"
I totally agree that it is irrelevant where innocents are being killed and by whom, eve the murder of a single innocent is a murder too many.
My point is this (from what I've read in this thread so far) that both sides, but mainly (and this is quite sad) the non-Muslim side are clearly giving us "news" that isn't factual, verified or not fully informed. Many of the deaths a#taking place in Muslim lands by so called muslim groups are terrorist organisations funded by Western intelligence services. Read up on Raymond Allen Davies, you will find it very interesting.
Anyway, like I said, I agree with your initial statement, killing of all and any innocents is wrong.
