Authenticity of a Hadith

There's a Hadith that says that you can't be with people who are drinking alcohol even if you aren't drinking yourself (according to the interpretation). Does anyone know of the authenticity of this Hadith? Because in the Quran it says a certain type of people are cursed (I think) by Allah for being associated with alcohol. But nowhere in that part it mentions the person being with people who are drinking. If someone knows about this, could you please explain if this Hadith is correct or not and if it is, does this mean being with people who drink is outright forbidden or makruh?

I do not find a hadith about befriend with people who drink alcohol. However, when ulama warn ummah to not befriend with alcohol drinkers, usually they use this hadith.

"The likeness of a righteous friend and an evil friend, is the likeness of a (musk) perfume seller and a blacksmith. As for the perfume seller, he may either bestow something on you, or you may purchase something from him, or you may benefit from his sweet smell. And as for the blacksmith, he may either burn your clothes, or you may be exposed to his awful smell."

It was reported by Imam Ahmad that Umar Ibn Al-Khattab said: “O people! I have heard the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) say, ‘Whoever believes in God and the Last Day should not sit at a table where [alcoholic] drinks are served even if he does not drink with them as this is tantamount to a tacit approval.’”

A person who is in the company of another while he is performing a sin, may become accustomed to the sin and his aversion to it will gradually decline; this may ultimately weaken his resolve not to commit them.
